Constellating Change
2023/2024
Why we're constellating
What organising patterns might support us to contribute to system change?
Part of our work at the School of System Change is to continuously probe, sense and respond into what learning needs we are observing in the field. What we are increasingly noticing is folks feeling a disconnect between what their ambitious system change initiatives plan to do and what they actually do - the gap between the 'what' and the 'how'.
This autumn 2023 we are launching Constellating Change: an inspirational learning & practice series supporting changemakers to understand how they can organise internally towards ambitious change.
Our aspiration is to bridge the void (for anyone organising for change - be that systems change practitioners and beyond) between what we intend to do in the world and how we internally and externally organise to progress our work effectively, inclusively and systemically.
What we're constellating
We're hosting six monthly online sessions (October 2023 - March 2024) where we will take a proactive and nuanced dive into the common entry points and stumbling blocks that seem to get in the way of aspiring and committed change initiatives.
Each entry point is orientated around those simple - yet difficult - everyday realities that too often inhibit us to move between planning, implementation and impact.
The series explores six entry points plus an additional free sensemaking and weaving session on Fri 19 April 2024 when we close, open to anybody that has participated in at least one of the six sessions.

How we're constellating
This series is a ‘choose your own path’ learning experience which means you can join the whole journey or choose to participate in the sessions that feel most relevant and alive to you.
We will convene once per month for two hours. Each session will include:
- Framing and an introduction to the session topic
- Inspiration, dialogue and applied learning opportunities with experienced guest contributors
- Space to reflect with peers on how the topic relates to your different contexts and experiences
- An invitation to develop your next micro or macro experiment or practical application of this topic in your context
Who is constellating
Is this series for me?
The Constellating Change Series is for people that have clarity about the systems-shifting impact you're looking to create but are feeling less clarity about the route.
It is for any person, team, organisation, collaboration or network that is interested in how your organising efforts can contribute to the systemic positive change you are wishing to have in the world. It is designed both for those of you that are designing organisational systems or are in the throes of day-to-day delivery and have a sense something needs to shift about how you're organising.
Contributors
In each session, the hosting team will be joined by experienced guest contributors who will bring in personal anecdotes, stories, and ‘how to’ practical routes for engaging with the topic being explored. Contributors for each session will be announced on an ongoing basis as we weave the learning journey together, so watch this space.
