Elizabeth Muchoki
Country Representative for the Coalition for Clear Vision in Kenya

Background
I am a health economics and policy expert. I have over 15 years of dedicated service in strengthening health systems to deliver impactful, sustainable, and responsive healthcare solutions in developing countries, including emergency and conflict-prone environments.
Currently serving as the Country Representative for the Coalition for Clear Vision in Kenya, I spearhead the coordination and strategic implementation of eye health NGOs, working closely with MoH, driving impactful change and fostering collaborations that strengthen community health systems.
Where are you focusing your energy right now?
System thinking approach and systems change for the eye health space in Kenya.
What stood out from your Basecamp Health experience?
The personal coaching was amazing.
How has your approach to your work changed?
I am quite aggressive when I know what I want, however I have learned that sometimes to win you don't need to push things around; sometimes letting people see the value of what you are doing or what needs to be done will achieve more.
What can people come to you to ask about?
Policy work and strategic planning.
What's your current inquiry question about?
Development of the eye health policy in Kenya.
What are your go-to resources?
The great people I met on the School of System Change course, my professional allies in Kenya, the MOH team at the eye health department and IAPB.
