Background

Pablo Vidueira is Director of Evaluation at the Global Alliance for the Future of Food and Assistant Professor at Comillas Pontifical University. His research focuses on evaluation, systems change, and complexity-informed approaches to food systems, sustainability, and societal transformations. He has worked across countries and institutional contexts with UN agencies, philanthropic foundations, civil society organizations, research institutions, and governments on evaluation and systemic change initiatives at diverse scales.

Pablo previously served as president of the regional Spanish-Portuguese Evaluation Association APROEVAL and currently sits on the editorial board of New Directions for Evaluation. He is co-author of Evaluative Inquiry for Systemic Change (SAGE, 2025).

When not at his desk, you can usually find Pablo with family and friends, hiking where the mountains meet the sea in northern Spain, exploring the Peruvian Andes and Amazon, or playing drums.

At the School of System Change

Pablo is a facilitator on Evaluating Systemic Change, part of the summer 2026 Seedling Series: short courses supporting changemakers to embrace complexity through discovering the diversity of systemic approaches and practitioners.

"What I find most exciting about systems change practice is finding better ways to work together, across values, perspectives, and ways of knowing, to challenge systems of oppression and co-create lasting and meaningful changes and value."
