Background

Kimberly Harris (Kim) is the founder of Educa Consulting, and a trained economist specializing in culturally responsive and liberatory consultation that centers communities. With more than two decades of research and evaluation experience, her work seeks to norm strengths-based, human-centered methodologies, centering and prioritizing communities, their human-experiences, and the wisdom they bring to quantitative, qualitative, and mixed methodological inquiry.

Her practice is both informed and inspired by the credo of “nothing about us, without us, is for us,” and as such Kim co-constructs highly collaborative, community co-led work that transparently acknowledges their subject matter expertise. Kim regularly conducts interdisciplinary consultations framed by issues of economic equity in various sectors including housing, STEM, and the arts.

At the School of System Change

Kim is a contributor on the Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning (MEL) Learning & Practice Series in 2024/2025.

Kim serves as an evaluative consultant for an initiative for which the School is associated through one of its founding members.

"I am excited by the potential of systems change to dismantle and replace norms that have served to target folx for structural marginalization, acute trauma, and invisibility with more inclusive, liberatory and affirming ecosystems where human-centered norms can take root and thrive."
